Our client, a global construction manufacturing company headquartered in the western suburbs of IL, is looking for a Metals Procurement Manager to help continue their pattern of growth.
The Metals Procurement Manager will be responsible for providing support to the leadership team on creating strategic plans on forecasting the sourcing needs of the company. They will be responsible for managing a team and figuring best sourcing plans for the inhouse and outsource items being manufactured.
Metals Procurement Manager Responsibilities:
- Creating a procurement strategy with leadership
- Negotiating contracts, identifying new suppliers and managing the vendor portfolio
- Managing a team of buyers to order supply for production
Metals Procurement Manager Requirements:
- Multiple years of experience in sourcing, procuring, negotiating contracts and managing vendors in the steel and construction industry
- 2+ years of management experience, to manage an experienced team
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to lead a team on multiple projects
