Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors and staff with a welcoming and helpful demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Coordinate patient registration and insurance verification processes efficiently
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate smooth patient flow and resolve issues promptly
- Must have recent healthcare/patient access experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate healthcare systems
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Empathetic and patient-focused approach in handling inquiries and concerns
