Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and family members with professionalism and empathy
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointment setting, rescheduling and cancellations
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage and payment methods accurately
- Handle incoming calls, answer inquiries and route calls to the appropriate departments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the health system’s standards for compliance and privacy
Patient Service Representative Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role; healthcare experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with healthcare scheduling systems is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
