Payroll Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage payroll processing for a multi-state, rapidly growing workforce
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Implement and maintain payroll systems and process improvements
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate payroll administration
- Handle payroll tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting
- Drive payroll automation and efficiency initiatives to support the company’s scaling efforts
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting payroll operations
Payroll Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and compliance
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday or similar platforms
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
