LaSalle Network has partnered with a private organization to hire on a Senior Bookkeeper to manage the comprehensive financial operations for a Private Capital Office. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with specialized knowledge of trust administration and private wealth management.

This role will sit out of their downtown Chicago office 5x a week and is budgeted up to a base of $120,000. 

Sr. Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for family entities
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions
  • Coordinate with external CPAs and tax professionals for tax preparation and planning
  • Process and track household employee payroll and related tax filings
  • Assist in trust accounting and administration, including tracking distributions and preparing trust accountings
  • Coordinate with trustees and trust administrators to ensure proper documentation and compliance
  • Monitor trust investments and maintain detailed records of trust assets
  • Prepare reports for trust beneficiaries as required
  • Manage bill payment and expense tracking for family members
  • Maintain organized records of all financial documents and transactions
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for family decision-making
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for family members
  • Coordinate with wealth managers and financial advisors

Bookkeeper Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in family office or private wealth management
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting principles and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Experience with high-net-worth individuals and families
  • CPA preferred
