LaSalle Network is in search of a Procurement Specialist for one of our clients, a leader in the confectionery industry. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient sourcing, purchasing, and management of materials and services essential to the company’s operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers to support cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers to procure raw materials, packaging and other goods essential for production
  • Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules and pricing agreements
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capacity to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with company objectives
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements and inventory levels in the procurement system
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies and other supplier-related concerns
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to the development of long-term supplier partnerships
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, such as cost savings, supplier reliability and inventory levels

Procurement Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP tools
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, market trends, and compliance standards in procurement
