As a Quality Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and improving key Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role owns and oversees systems such as TraceGains, SAP, SharePoint ensuring seamless quality management from warehouses to manufacturing plants and distribution centers. You will collaborate closely with Quality Compliance teams, who own the processes, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, including incoming goods receipt, factory quality, plant-to-plant transfers, local shipping, and distribution center quality teams. This role requires hands-on engagement, including facility visits across the Chicago area and internationally, to gain in-depth knowledge from factory experts and provide training on system updates and process changes as needed. Quality Systems Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate and support Quality department teams by ownership of the following systems
  • Document Control process via Sharepoint
  • TraceGains Supplier Quality module & Compliance module which contains supplier & internal audits, CAPAs, OFIs
  • Management of Change system & process
  • System optimization and troubleshooting support
  • Lead the implementation of the TraceGains module for third-party manufacturing
  • Take over and continue the pre-existing architectural work already underway
  • Coordinate the flow of data between the co-manufacturers, co-packers, and TraceGains system
  • Lead systems training across all sites, warehouse and co-man
  • Maintain document integrity by writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process guides and work instructions.
  • Report & drive network Quality System metrics within desired ranges
  • Collaborate effectively with systems vendors for execution and maintenance of systems while delivering company values

Quality Systems Specialist Requirements:
  • Strong experience with Quality Management Systems (ie Document Control, Management of Change)
  • Food Manufacturing/ Pharmaceutical industry experience or similar
  • System Implementation & Continuous improvement
  • Site Collaboration & Training
  • Multi-site experience (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven project management skills
  • Capable of working independently and being self-directed
