The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and providing strategic insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software business models and SaaS metrics, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets
- Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), churn, CAC, LTV, and provide variance analysis versus forecast and budget
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, product development, and customer acquisition
- Partner with product, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to understand cost drivers and revenue opportunities
- Support month-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations
- Continuously identify process improvements and automation opportunities within financial planning processes
Senior Financial Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, within the software or SaaS industry required
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis
- Solid understanding of SaaS metrics and software business models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar a plus)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
