We are partnering with a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods company located in downtown Chicago to find a dynamic Senior HR Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead HR operations at a thriving organization that values innovation, collaboration and growth.

The Senior HR Manager will act as a key strategic partner to the leadership team, overseeing all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance and organizational development. This role offers the opportunity to drive impactful HR initiatives and support a positive and inclusive company culture.

Senior HR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations and performance management
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive employee engagement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and execute employee engagement and retention programs
  • Oversee the employee handbook, ensuring it is updated and compliant with current regulations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching and guidance on employee-related matters
  • Analyze HR metrics to drive strategic decisions and improve organizational performance
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives

Senior HR Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification such as PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience in the CPG industry or a similarly fast-paced environment is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance and HR best practices
  • Proven success in talent acquisition, employee relations and organizational development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with Workday or Paylocity is a plus)
