Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Assist with cash management processes and act as a backup for deposits, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of cash flows
- Perform internal audit procedures, maintaining proper documentation and ensuring the integrity of financial records
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies
- Prepare journal entries, including prepaids and payroll liabilities, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong ability to ensure accuracy when handling financial data, from cash management to journal entries and reconciliations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies and inconsistencies in financial records
