Our client is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide critical financial support during a 30-day leave coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to step in and make an immediate impact. The role is based in-office (or hybrid, depending on company policy) and may extend in 30-day increments depending on business needs and the employee’s return timeline.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is confident jumping into a new system or workflow with minimal ramp-up time.
Temporary Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close

Assist with AP/AR and other daily transactional accounting tasks

Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls

Partner with internal teams on reporting and analysis needs

Offer ad hoc support as needed during the coverage period
Temporary Staff Accountant Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

1–3 years of hands-on accounting experience

Solid understanding of accounting systems and Excel proficiency

Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Flexible, dependable, and comfortable in a temporary work setup
