LaSalle Network is looking for a Supply Planner for one of our clients who is a leader in the confectionary CPG industry. This role will focus on managing supply and production planning across multiple plants, ensuring optimal inventory levels and seamless coordination with cross-functional teams. The Supply Planner will play a pivotal role in supporting everyday and seasonal product portfolios while contributing to the company’s operational success. This hybrid role is based in downtown Chicago, requiring three days on-site and occasional travel to other production locations.
Supply Planner Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with plant schedulers to ensure proper service levels and inventory build quantities
- Track and execute SKU builds, providing status updates to management on adherence to plans, delays, risks and recommendations to mitigate impact
- Partner with Brand Managers, Operations Business Managers and Production Planners on product changes, rollouts and issue resolution, minimizing obsolescence
- Lead issue resolution across supply chain functions to address surfaced challenges and ensure smooth operations
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and core values in all supply planning activities
- Maintain regular updates in weekly meetings, focusing on root cause analysis and trade-off recommendations
- Travel to other plants as needed to support cross-site collaboration and supply chain optimization
Supply Planner Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or Operations Management preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning or Operations Management, preferably in a CPG environment
- Experience with multiple plants or strong collaboration across different production sites is a plus
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (managing complex datasets) and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with SAP software (including APO) and Business Objects; experience with Tableau is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams and leadership
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing detail orientation with high-quality output
