Tax Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee individual and business tax returns, including S-Corporations, Partnerships, C-Corporations, and Estate returns
- Manage a mix of complex client engagements alongside routine tax and accounting tasks
- Perform tax planning and conduct technical reviews for various returns, such as business and individual (1040) tax filings
- Ensure the tax team completes tasks accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Consult with clients to provide strategic tax planning advice
- Work closely with the company’s tax and accounting teams to ensure seamless operations
- Prepare compilations and reviews as required
Tax Manager Requirements
- Active CPA certification is mandatory
- A minimum of 6+ years in public accounting, focusing on tax-related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Master’s degree in Taxation
- Extensive experience in tax accounting, compliance, and managing diverse tax return operations
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate strong client relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office and UltraTax software
- Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and develop practical solutions for challenges
