The Technology Lead is responsible for the technical implementation, development, and optimization of the digital platform. This role ensures high-performing landing pages and seamless integration with marketing technologies. Collaborating closely with marketing and design teams, the Technology Lead delivers scalable solutions that enhance user engagement and drive conversions. This role follows a hybrid work model based in Chicago, IL, with minimal travel required.
Technology Lead, Web Platforms Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the development of marketing technologies and platforms, ensuring scalable, high-performance solutions. Design and optimize landing pages to enhance user experience and conversion rates
- Ensure seamless integration of marketing technologies, including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and CMS solutions. Manage technical aspects of marketing campaigns, including tracking, reporting, and data analysis
- Work closely with marketing, design, and development teams to align strategies and successfully implement marketing initiatives
- Oversee technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed
- Empower team-based decision-making, making final calls when necessary and escalating cross-team or organization-wide decisions as needed
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes, integrations, and systems. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices for on-time, high-quality project delivery
Technology Lead, Web Platforms Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Master’s degree or additional certifications in web development, marketing technology, or related fields (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in software development leadership, managing technical resources, and leading transformation projects
- Proven experience as both a technical leader and a hands-on developer
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience
- Expertise with marketing technology platforms, including CRM (e.g., Salesforce), email marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), and CMS (e.g., Adobe, Contentful)
- Strong background in integrating marketing technologies, including API integrations and data synchronization
- In-depth understanding of MACH architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless)
- Experience optimizing landing pages for performance, speed, and conversions
- Knowledge of A/B testing and multivariate testing methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent collaboration and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Leadership experience in mentoring development teams and ensuring best practices
- Familiarity with advanced marketing automation tools within a B2B marketing context
- Experience with data streaming and producer/consumer patterns
