Chicago-based staffing firm recognized as socially responsible employer
Chicago, Ill., March 25, 2015 – LaSalle Network, a staffing and recruiting firm headquartered in Chicago, has earned a place on the Center for Companies That Care 2015 Honor Roll. This is LaSalle Network’s first time on the national list.
In its 13th year, the Honor Roll, a national list, recognizes employers for outstanding workplace practices and active community involvement. The Honor Roll list includes privately held and publicly traded organizations, as well as not-for-profit employers.
“At LaSalle Network, our employees have always been a top priority,” said Tom Gimbel, President & CEO. “We believe in recognizing and rewarding people for a job well done, we believe in competition and collaboration, we believe in compassion and having empathy for one another and for other people. We have always strived to be seen as a company that cares, and it’s an honor to receive this recognition.”
Companies named to the Honor Roll excel in the 10 Characteristics inherent to a “Company That Cares”, which include: developing great leaders, cultivating the full potential of employees, making employees feel their jobs are important, creating a work environment focused on dignity and respect, supporting the pursuit of work/life balance, appreciating and recognizing contributions of employees, maintaining ethical behavior, providing competitive compensation and benefits, considering the human toll behind every business decision, and volunteering in the community.
“It’s impossible to quantify the full impact of these outstanding employers,” said Marci Koblenz, Center for Companies That Care’s co-founder and president. “They have created and sustained organizational cultures rooted in helping people – helping employees succeed by developing them, providing fair compensation and benefits, recognizing their contributions to their organization, appreciating them as individuals, and giving them opportunities to serve communities, which in turn, pays dividends to employees, families and communities.”
The 2015 Honor Roll was announced March 19 in conjunction with the annual launch of CAREDAYS, a month-long national initiative to engage individuals and employers in activities addressing a significant societal issue in our communities. CAREDAYS15 supports childhood literacy by providing books to under-resourced classroom libraries.
