Seventh Annual Report Highlights Comparison Data on Hiring, Wage, Talent Trends
CHICAGO – LaSalle Network, a national staffing, recruiting and culture firm, published its seventh annual report on top hiring challenges employers are facing, and hiring and wage trends for 2023.
In a survey to leaders of Human Resources, Finance and Operations, respondents shared top insights on:
- Projected increase in headcount and wages for 2023
- Top roles companies are hiring for in 2023
- Benefits companies plan to invest more in
- Turnover trends
- Top reasons candidates turn down job offers
- Most successful ways companies are finding talent
- And more
Data Highlights:
- Hiring: Over the last seven years conducting this survey, the highest number of respondents (84 percent) stated they plan to increase headcount 2023; however, they plan to do so in smaller amounts compared to 2022.
- Compensation: More businesses plan to increase wages in 2023, compared to 2022; however, they plan to raise wages by smaller amounts.
- Hybrid Workforces: Only 15 percent of respondents stated their organization will offer full-time remote work in 2023, dropping almost in half from the prior year when 29 percent offered full-time remote work.
- Turnover: 64 percent of respondents reported an increase in voluntary turnover as compared to prior years.
