CHICAGO – LaSalle Network Founder and CEO, Tom Gimbel, and Chief Human Resources Officer, Sirmara Campbell, have been recognized on Crain’s Chicago Business’ inaugural 2020 “Notable Leaders in HR” list. LaSalle Network, a national staffing, recruiting and culture firm, is the only company with two leaders recognized.
Working alongside one other for over 20 years, Gimbel and Campbell have undoubtedly impacted hiring and talent acquisition in the City of Chicago and at LaSalle Network. They’ve introduced new ways to recruit talent and support employees that have not only helped LaSalle achieve organic growth for 21 straight years, but fuel local economic growth by helping companies grow with top talent.
Gimbel, who founded LaSalle Network in 1998, oversees employee engagement, culture and strategic planning. As a leader in the staffing and recruiting industry, Gimbel speaks often to media outlets on hiring, culture, labor and hiring trends. Gimbel was previously honored on Crain’s Chicago Business’ “40 Under 40” and inducted in the Chicago-Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. He is on the boards of Ounce of Prevention, which supports education for children living in poverty, the American Staffing Association and Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Campbell, who joined LaSalle Network in 1999 as a receptionist, has contributed to a 61 percent increase in headcount over the past year, as well as retention of the executive and management teams. Last year, Campbell led the revamp of the firm’s training program for identifying, sourcing and recruiting talent. She has worked with senior management to develop a data and analytics team to reduce time-to-hire and turnover.
